The only thing that was on Lily Potters mind at that very moment was Quidditch. As she sat at the table next to her partner in Potions she could only picture new ploys and strategies for an up and coming match. Creating new little plays in one’s mind wasn't exactly perfect table work nor preparation for making a potion. This seemed to bother her partner. He gave her a stern look as she snapped out from her day dreams and pondering. Shrugging it off her eyes darted towards her Potions book as the professor continued to speak about the potion they were to create. Lily jotted down everything they were being told to do and what they would have to do for tomorrows class seeing as time had suddenly slipped away from them and the period was almost over. Closing her notebook, she shoved it into her bag along with her Potion's textbook and her quill. She was completely ready to be free of that class. It wasn't that she hated it or anything she just highly disliked her partner. He was a snooty pants and very rude. Lily just couldn't stand him.
She took a stand and headed for the door as they were dismissed. She was trying her best to stay away from that rude little boy. Lily knew if she had let him catch up with her he would have barked at her for not paying attention. Honestly, she could care less. She had better things to worry about. Like that nights the Gryffindor team was practicing. Transfiguration was her next class so Lily headed up the staircase to the third floor from the Dungeons. Along the way she stopped and shared a few words with some friends and fellow housemates but eventually carried on her way. Truth be told Lily did not really want to attend her Transfiguration class. They were just doing book work. No action. In other words, it numbed Lily’s brain each time she entered the room. As she was walking up the staircase, she decided to take a little detour to the Library. No real reason as to why. She just figured it would be a nice quiet place to sit and take a breather. Plus she couldn’t be seen simply because she was going to be skipping class and she really couldn’t afford another detention, (or the howler that may come with it from her mother).
Lily looked about as some students started to run off to get to their next class. She backed up into the Libraries front door and slipped inside. It was as if she was a secret agent and no one could see her. Well, at least, that how she was playing it in her mind. Turning around to face the dimly lit room she took in a deep breath. It smelt of old parchment and the stale perfume that Miss Pince wore. She began to walk the library was. It was usually pretty empty. Maybe one or two people around during classes but today there were much more than usual, at least 15 people. Lily couldn’t really tell and she didn’t really feel like walking around and counting them all. Plus that would just make her look a bit odd. Continuing on her way to the Muggle section she weaved her way around the isles and bookcases until she reached the far side of the library. She took a seat at one of the desks and sighed. Finally a bit of quiet.
